Affiliate disclosure

Effective date: 18 September 2026

Ignite Works carries paid links. This page explains who pays, what for, and what that money does and does not decide.

The arrangement

Katepak servis s.r.o., the publisher of Ignite Works, takes part in an affiliate programme relating to War Thunder, a multiplayer military vehicle game developed and published by Gaijin Entertainment. Where this site links to War Thunder, that link is a paid affiliate link. If you follow one and then register an account, the advertiser pays us a commission.

Every paid link on this site is marked as such in the sentence next to it, and carries the sponsored attribute in its markup so that search engines can identify it as advertising as well. Links to government bodies, to regulators and between pages of this site are not paid links and never have been.

What it costs you

Nothing. The commission is paid by the advertiser out of its own marketing budget. It is not a surcharge, it is not added to any price you see, and following a link here does not make anything more expensive than reaching the same destination another way. You are also not required to use our links at all — the vendor's own site is reachable directly, and none of the troubleshooting advice on this site depends on you going through us.

What the money influences, and what it does not

Being straightforward about this is more useful than claiming it has no effect, because that claim would not be credible.

It does influence

  • Which product is the worked example. War Thunder appears throughout the site because it is the product we have a commercial relationship with. We do not survey the category, and we do not pretend to.
  • That paid links exist here at all. This is a commercial site. It is funded by affiliate commission and by nothing else — no display advertising, no sponsored posts, no paid placements in the text, no data sold to anyone, because none is collected.

It does not influence

  • The troubleshooting content. Each symptom page orders its steps by what resolves the most cases with the least effort and the least risk to the reader's machine. That ordering has no commercial input.
  • What we are willing to say. The consumer rights page advises caution about spending, and carries no affiliate link at all. Several pages tell readers that a purchase will not fix their problem. None of that is adjusted for the advertiser.
  • Claims about the product. We describe War Thunder only in the terms its own publisher uses — an online multiplayer military vehicle game, on desktop platforms, with a registration and email confirmation step. We publish no prices, no ratings, no performance claims and no superlatives, and we would not accept payment to.

What does determine coverage

Pages exist where a reader is likely to be stuck and where a static written answer actually helps: a confirmation email that has not arrived, a download that has stopped, a game that will not launch, a session that stutters, a platform that behaves differently, and a purchase that has gone wrong. Ordering within each page follows the same rule as any competent fault-finding: cheapest and safest first, most disruptive last. The about page sets out the full editorial method alongside the publisher's details.

Identifying a paid link

You can check for yourself rather than taking our word for it. Paid links on this site:

  • have a sentence immediately next to them saying they are paid;
  • open in a new tab and point at the advertiser's own tracking address, visible in your browser's status bar when you hover over them;
  • carry rel="sponsored nofollow noopener" in the page source.

The address in the link is the address you go to. This site uses no redirect of its own, no link cloaking, and no script that changes a destination when you click. Nothing about the page changes based on where you arrived from.

Under Australian law

Misleading or deceptive conduct in trade is prohibited under the Australian Consumer Law, and the obligation applies to publishers as well as to sellers. Disclosing a commercial relationship clearly is part of meeting it, which is why the disclosure appears on the homepage, next to every paid link, and here. The Australian Competition and Consumer Commission is the regulator responsible for that law.

Trademarks

War Thunder and all other product names, logos and brands mentioned on this site are the property of their respective owners. Ignite Works is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by any of them. Naming a product in order to explain or troubleshoot it is not a claim of any relationship with its publisher.
